Dulcie Takes Best Songwriter
at the 2014 New Times Awards

Dulcie Taylor won the
New Times Music Award for
Best Songwriter 2014. She took home the same award last year,
2013. Here is a picture of the two
“Newties” as they are called, side-by-side. The
“Newtie” is 10 pounds of solid bronze in the shape of a microphone and is made of metal reclaimed from decommissioned weapon systems.

Dulcie was thrilled to play the Kennedy Mainstage at the 35th Annual Kerrville Folk Festival in Kerrville.
Mirrors and Windows has been named one of the 12 Best Recordings of 2004 by Soundstage, along with CDs by such artists as Brian Wilson, Wilco, Los Lobos, and Peter Mulvey.
When renowned Broadway composer Stephen Schwartz (his shows include Godspell, Pippin, and Wicked) was interviewed on The Atrium Stage at the Kennedy Center by Michael Kerker of ASCAP, he entertained and thrilled the sold-out crowd with his stories and his songs. Then Mr. Schwartz introduced songwriters from the Mid-Atlantic region who each performed an original song. Dulcie performed her song, Diamond & Glass.

Dulcie wins the Grand Prize in Broadjam's Steinberg Finals.
Broadjam's Steinberg Finals, a song competition sponsored by
Steinberg, the Germany-based company that manufactures digital audio recording equipment. The prize is the
Steinberg Ultimate Studio Solution, "a combination of hardware and software worth over $10,000." Broadjam is a 125,000 member-strong organization of songwriters that hosts a massive online database of searchable songs for film/tv, advertisers, recording artists, etc. by writers from all 50 U.S. states and over 150 countries worldwide.
